Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist who is currently fighting at flyweight of UFC. Valentina is her older sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina followed it up and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011, and was the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003. The next two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to focus on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. In 2018, she left the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her striking skills that were superior at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina received the UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko won the fight by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina recovered from this defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
